When most cottage owners reach out asking, “What does a standard dock package include?” This is exactly the type of system we build the most. It’s simple, stable, great for boating, swimming, and lounging, and works beautifully on nearly every lake in our region.

Below is a breakdown of our most common design: a straight-out floating dock system with a ramp and small shore deck built on helical piles.

This is the package we install dozens of times every season.

1. The Main Dock: 10' x 20' Floating Platform

Price: $7,000

This is the heart of your dock system, a spacious, ultra-stable platform perfect for chairs, loungers, swimming access, and entertaining.

Every 10'x20' floating dock includes:

  • 18" HDPE pontoons with a Lifetime Pontoon Warranty

  • Precision-welded brackets

  • Pressure-treated decking

  • Our Winter-Adaptive System so your dock can stay in the water year-round

A 10'x20' is one of the most popular sizes because it gives an amazing amount of usable space without feeling oversized.

2. The Ramp: 6' x 10' Connection to Shore

Price: $1,950

The 6'x10' ramp is a clean, simple way to transition from land to your floating dock.

Features include:

  • Comfortable walking width for adults, kids, and pets

  • Designed to flex naturally with changing water levels

  • Fully pressure-treated framing and decking

  • Secure hardware that keeps everything aligned but still allows seasonal movement

Ramps this size strike a perfect balance between stability and gentle slope.

3. Shore Deck on 4 Helical Piles

Breakdown:

  • Helical piles: $450 each (4 required) → $1,800

  • 6'x10' shore deck: $1,800Total: $3,600

This small shore deck is built right where your ramp begins.

Why we install this:

  • It creates a perfectly level, stable starting point every year

  • It’s rock solid — helical piles eliminate shifting, frost heave, and leveling issues

  • Provides a clean transition to the ramp

  • Gives you a neat area for coolers, towels, storage, or seating

Helical piles are the strongest foundation option available and can be installed in under 4 hours.

4. Anchor Weights

2 weights @ $180 each → $360

Your floating dock needs lateral stability. Two 330lbs underwater anchor weights help keep your dock positioned while still allowing natural movement as water levels rise and fall.

(For “T” or “L” systems, we usually recommend four, but for a straight-out build, two is the perfect setup.)

5. Delivery & Installation

Price: $500

This covers complete delivery, setup, leveling, anchoring, and making sure everything sits perfectly on your shoreline. Our crews handle all the heavy lifting so your dock is usable the moment we leave.
